Brilliant is the person that known for his knowledge. Brilliancy factor of the human tendency can be divided into 2 factors majorly. First one is INTELLIGENCE & the other one is the WISEDOM. Both of these words seem quite identical but having a major different.
An intelligent person may or may not be wise but a wise person must have some kind intelligence. An intelligent is a person huge amount of knowledge which he gains either though study or it may be other source. But a wise person although may not having vast knowledge, but he knows where, how & when he have to perform his knowledge (without any instruction), that he acquire from study or personal experience.
If we consider about history then we will get wise person had taken cake in the world over intelligent persons. Even many intelligent persons also know that fact. That’s the reason, why personality likes AKBAR The Great having deep knowledge of various religious and even VAIDS, having BIRBAL as assistant in form of NAVRATNA. There are so many example already exist in the history.
Even in the time of the 21st century wisdom is still dominating intelligence. The multi milliners’ personality like AMBANI, BILL GATES or the most powerful personalities of the decade according to forbs magazine, most of them (may be none of them) were not topper during the education time. But they are ruling the world due to there knowledge. Although they respect intelligent people and know the value of them.
Pursuing I am doing MCA from MBM Engineering college & I usually notice that the academic topper of the batch generally doesn’t get highest package of the batch. It may be one reason that they seem unable to perform their knowledge but an average student (can say wise) does it and get success.
Even we can also see in general administration services. IAS &IPS having huge knowledge, have to work as the instructions of the ministers. Although it doesn’t mean that officers are not wise and ministers are. But it shows that Knowledge always need a direction to lead, that wise person provide.
Another example of that are computer & man. A computer having great knowledge (like database & calculating power etc.) But it has to always work in the supervision of a man. This phenomenon is called ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE in the computer field.
Person having combination of intelligence & wisdom always appreciated & followed by the world. CHANAKYA (KOUTILYA), king VIKRMADITYA even Lord KRISHNA was the great example of that.
The whole summary of above is that, a person having knowledge (intelligent) but unable to perform it properly is always dominated by the person having little low knowledge but knows how, where, when to apply it. That’s why; we can say that man is always grater than machine.
